Highest Earning Companies In Hawaii: Top 10 List

Let’s talk about job hunting. Because unless you’re independently wealthy (in which I case I’m totally envious) or have a nice nest egg saved up for your retirement in Hawaii, you’re gonna have to figure out a way to earn an income here. And for most of us, that means finding a job.

When I was planning my move to Hawaii, the biggest hurdle in my mind was “How am I going to make a living over there?” I didn’t feel comfortable moving to Hawaii until I had some sort of concrete plan in mind as to how I was going to earn money.

I suspect I’m not the first or last person to have that worry about moving to Hawaii.

So let’s tackle this potential roadblock, starting with a focus on the 10 top-earning companies in Hawaii — in other words, “good bets” on who’s hiring in Hawaii. Please note that this list does not include federal, state, county, and city government agencies, which are also big employers in Hawaii.

Some of you might immediately find a natural fit for your job skills among the companies listed below. But if you don’t, have no fear.

In subsequent posts, I’ll talk about the aforementioned government employers, websites that list job openings in Hawaii, and the option of self-employment.

Here are the 10 highest earning companies in Hawaii, based on gross annual sales. This list was originally published in 2010, but we updated all statistics (gross annual sales, etc) and contact info in 2019 (sales numbers are from 2018).

Please note that the “Positions” field lists known position types that the employer hires for, although vacancies in each position type are not guaranteed.

There may also be additional position types available that are not listed. Please check each employer’s website for the most up-to-date information on available positions.
